Artist's Comments

I did these recently on a realisation. Mainly that it's been nearly three years since I first sent an e-mail. Now, that might not seem like much but this e-mail resulted in me finding a friend. She was the first person I ever met through the internet and became someone I count as a friend.

The subject of the e-mail was some fan art of her characters and having known her this long I thought it was time for an update.

So here's the first of four pictures. This one shows her most popular character, Artemisluv. It's her adventures that first drew me to draw fan art for Mina and I still think she is one of the sweetest character ever created.

Here she is dreaming with her close friend Lunaangle the Anglepuss after a long morning protecting her home.

The folds in the fabric were the toughest part to get right but overal I'm very pleased with the pose of both character. Although I'm pretty sure I didn't get Artemis' accessories right. Sorry about that. ^^;

This is cute-the brown character needs whiskers its annoying me gah! And her legs look freakishly short--I imagine her standing upright on those 2 short legs and I'm freaked out :sprint: The pink bedcover spread compliments the other colours nicely. :3

angelpuss is cute i agree comapred to the arm length the legs look to short. now if i only could remember my neopet account name i havent used it in years they prob grown up and had grandkids by now

Thanks for the pointers!

The problem I have is that I did this to the specs on Neopets and none of their cats have whiskers. As for the legs, they were a bit of guess. I wanted to keep as close to the neopet design as possible so her legs had to be short. She's supposed to be part anthro rather than full. Still, maybe I should stick to full anthro from now on.

Neopets has changed hugely, they went through a complete site upgrade and binned many of the old designs. It's weird in a way.

The trouble with this character is she can use two or four legs. For that to work, her legs had to be shorter and point the same way as a cat's. She doesn't run on four very often but her body shape was for four legs originaly. Which makes it look weird when she's walking around on two.

It just makes the body seem weird tho if the legs are short--but hey im pretty ignornat about anthro x,x seeing as im not a fan of it

Anthro never looks very nice because it's so odd to what we're used to seeing. Remember that outline I showed you of a race I had just created? You said it was scary and you're right. Mainly because it's so odd to what we're used to seeing and it looks like I broke the things legs to get them that way.
