So on the 9th of July it's

birthday. Now she asked in one of her journals for some fan art of her new characters 'The Pet Shop Rejects' and I decided to give them a go. So here is Mina Fawkes, the main character and lead singer of the Pet Shop Rejects.

I wanted to create a pop start image, something you might pull out of a magazine and pin on your wall. So I went for bright colours and a bubble style. I'm really pleased with this as it was my first shot at creating brushes which I did for the bubbles. They're simplistic but it's still a step forward for me. Mina's pose is one of the most detailed I have ever attempted. I even gave her painted finger nails and made sure that the design on her shirt would look like it was fitting her body. Her pose it one of my favorites and I'm really happy with all the energy she has.

Then, after all that and once I had finaly sorted out the back ground, I realised I'd forgotten her tatoo.

Darn.

Wow amazing!
It's perfectly fine that you forgot the tattoo it still looks awesome.
Your art skills are beautiful. Oh and very good job with e bubbles.

The bubbles gave me the most trouble thanks to the need to creat two paint brushes to do one bubble. I do wonder if I should have used less yellow and orange though.

Well I say it looks awesome. It might have been difficult but it turned out great. So don't worry about it. Especially the yellow and orange it looks fine.
